2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

JB Weld SteelStik

Post by Adrian Harris »

Has anyone used JB Weld's SteelStik epoxy putty ?

I need to glue some aluminium sheet parts together at right angles and can't use the normal epoxy glue as it will pool too much.

I've not been particularly impressed with how well Milliput actually adheres, so thought this might be an alternative.

Adrian.

I've used all of JB Welds products and have to say the results have been a bit hit and miss and certainly don't live up to all the claims made for their stuff- eg repairing engine blocks and the like. As far as modelling is concerned I personally would not like to rely on it for structural pieces. If you have already bought Steelstik I would be tempted to use it on one joint and test the strength afterwards. The other thing is (according to a wholesaler I spoke to) JB Welds stuff can lie around in warehouses for a long time. Cant remember if Steelstik has Use By dates but something to bear in mind.

Thanks Peter.

I've ordered one stick so will see whether it has an expiry date and whether it will be sticky enough for what I need.
