Hello from a new Armortek owner

Post by Shaun Hunt »

Hello everyone,

Just popped onto the forum to say hello.

I'm a new Armortek owner having ordered a Tiger 131 kit back in September, picked it up from the factory just before Christmas.

I'm really looking forward to the build, been reading lots of the articles on the forum some really great posts, lots of useful info.

I'm not entirely sure how much extra detail to add during the build hence the delay in starting.

Regards

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

I'm in the same boat as you, I have just started my build. I have ordered some bits from Steve Winstone, ie Lights, bump stops convoy light and deflector. I will probably not go too overboard on the detail as I will probably end up thrashing it about in the mud etc.

Good Luck with your build

Mick

Hi Shaun,

Welcome to the forum and this very addictive hobby. After seeing some of the new parts on 131, I don't think you will need to add many extra details. :D 8) my advice, build it first and see what you think is missing :D

Hello from another new Armortek owner.

I also bought the Tiger 131. I have started to build it in a mock-up state before I start painting it (so I can see where it is crucial where not to get any paint etc). Will consider adding more detail later once it is finished. I am really enjoying the kit, it is as Paul said really addictive and there are so many great builders here on the forum to learn from by reading their posts.

If there are any other builders here from Sweden I would like to get some tips from them on where to buy good paint and especially some good workshop hardware like lifting-tables, So if you have some god tips please send me a message.

Greetings from snowy/rainy Sweden

Hi to all the new owners. Glad you are all having fun with your new Tigers. Just started another Tiger myself. Third Tiger 1. The new Armortek kits go together realy well. Very little adjustment required. Please post pictures on progress and get on the forum if any problems. Lots of builders here happy to advise.

John
