Milliput welds

Gentlemen,
What size diameter brass tubing are you using to make the welding tool for working with milliput?

I have had reasonable success using a dental tool, but the welds are very big. I have been practicing on the interior of the tank and, sadly none of my welds are ready for the public perusal.

Also what diameter are you rolling your milliput out at?

I made my tools in size 3mm 4mm 5mm and 6mm.
