May I may two requests relating to the Forum search facility ?

1) You cannot search from the top level, so if you're looking for Benedini, then you have to search each sub-forum in turn. Hopefully the new 'How To' section will go some way to alleviating this but it would still be handy to search the whole forum for other topics.

2) The search facility ignores 'words' it considers to be too short. For instance, you can't search for III or IV, even if you include it in inverted commas (eg "Panzer III"). IV crops up in normal English words such as 'lived' etc but I can't think of a word with III in it...

Hi Adrian

Mark has fixed the issue of short words, and you can now search for a minimum of two letters. The search from the top level is a bit trickier however we will look into this. Hopefully as you say the new forum will help with finding these topics.

Hello,

May I ask a question please. Have I missed something while being away, because it appears that this new addition to the forum requires a password. Does this mean that the forum is heading towards closed shop. Password what password? Mine which I use to sign in fails to work

Hello Robin

There were a few teething problems getting this all set up.

This should be fixed now and a password is not required. Try again, refreshing your browser if necessary. If it still does not work please let me know.
