I plan on painting my 222 in a Desert paint scheem, ie Dark grey with a overspray of sand colour. Can anyone tell me if there is a suitable dark grey spray available off the shelf so to speak. I plan on using my airbrush for the sand colour but would like to spray the base colour using a can.
regards
Steve.

Hi Steve,
You will find that none of the suppliers of modellers paint has the correct shade of dark-grey (RAL 7028). On the other hand the original paint, which still is available in 400 cc. spray cans, proves to be too dark for a model and requires additional lighting up of the larger surfaces.
So get a bottle of Tamiya dark grey (which in fact is much to dark), mix it with a little white and get out your paintbrush. My guess is that it will work for your special paintjob.
