Nahverteidigungswaffe (close defence weapon)

Hi all,

I recently made some s-mines for my Tiger1 and I wondered if the Nahverteidigungswaffe (close defence weapon) on the King Tiger used the same size S-mines. I've look through all of my reference book, but I can't find anything on the different sized s-mines Has any one got any info please

Hi Paul,

Sorry to say this to you but the S-mine was not used to be fired from the Nahverteidigunswaffe.
The smoke grenade, the Nebelkerze, were the only amunition that the Nahverteidigungswaffe actually "fired". The rest were fired using a Leuchtpistole/Kampfpistole.

Thanks for the link. I have seen the information before, there isn't any size difference between the S.Mi.35 and S.Mi.44.

Thanks for the information and the link. Don't feel sorry putting me right, I would rather have the correct information . Having read the article I don't know why I thought S-mines were fired from the Nahverteidigunswaffe! I must be loosing the plot.

I will have to search the Militaria fairs for a smoke grenade so I can get the dimensions and make a case of 12.
