Hi Paul,
Stuka is by YT International in the UK, europe market them as planet hobby and in the States ESM warbirds. The kit comes ready painted in a mice matt finish but I am repainting. Wingspan is 80 inch. Uk price is about £350. Choice of B or D version. Got mine from Al's hobbies.
Lindinger.at has them for just €299 but due to licencing cannot ship to UK. Different branding.

Just got back to work weathering my Tiger 1. Looks a bit better now.
While testing I notice the smoker produces much less smoke when the sound module is turned on. Is this normal?

Hi John,

You must be super fit after all that Ski-ing you have been doing!

Your Tiger is looking great, like all the weathering you've added to it……

Cheers for now
Ian

Getting back to work on the Tiger 1 prior to open day. I have a few additions to make which I hope to have ready on time. Having made many of the turret interior parts I thought it would be nice to light the interior. Here is first attempt at crew lighting. The bulbs will run from the main power source or possibly a secondary source.

The light can be closed off by just as the original.

Three of these should light the turret nicely.

Looking for help with lighting in other areas of the vehicle. I saw wat appear to be two lights above the control panel in the driver position. Maybe something else? What about lights in the radio operator position. Any body know how these areas lit. Also, what about the fighting compartment. Any information apreciated.

I have improved the first attempt at making the lights and have nowcompleted 3 turret crew lights. If anybody has information on lighting in the hull it would be great. Also, did the instrument panel have back lighting?

More work on the turret interior fitting gunner and loader seats. Not yet complete and just loosely fitted. Also fighting compartment floor and turret floor. Again just loosely fitted. Still to fit lights in turret roof.

I may loose gun elevation but it's not important to me. Possibly fit it on the other side of the turret. I would prefer to make space for gun parts if anybody goes into production.

Hi John,

Outstanding work!
Love your attention to details and skills, well done.

One tiny thing if you don't mind me pointing it out...
The loader in all five man crew Panzer's didn't have the earphone intercom set.
Guess the cables might be a problem handling the rounds at stressful fighting and all his communication was with the other two in the turret.

Here are the pages in the Tigerfiebel and Pantherfiebel showing the loader was left without the earphones.

Kind regards

Thanks Kent, I had read that before but forgot to remove the figure's com set. The Gunners headset box in the loaders position muddled my brain. I still have to add the gunner's backrest and some other small details then find some way to secure everything in place. I would like to find some textured sheet for the floor but no luck so far. I will also add the sponson shell containers. Half the ammo is ready. Another 32 to go.
