TIGER 1 SUSPENSION UPGRADE

Post by JEAN MARC BELLETETE »

Hello tankers,
I have recently acquired a second hand Armortek Tiger 1 (2007 edition) from a friend and notice that the suspension Is a little weak , the original was quite damage and very out of alignment , so after a few review with people and friend who have these type of tank I decided to go ahead and re-do the suspension with the suspension upgrade kit provided by Armortek.
So here it is , just got it through UPS today , unpacked it and ready to go at it. Quite a job at first hand by the look of it but hope to go smooth if not I may have to ask for your help.
Thanks anyway ,
JIMBO

Interesting to see how you get on with this project. I have 2 2007 Tigers. Does the kit come with suspension arms and axles?

Yes John, The kit comes basically with every thing with new harms and rods that have been flatten at both end. News screws and mounting bars, and fixed ends.
I can tell that this mod will do the job, much stronger then the original.

HELLO JEAN !!
I HAVE THE UPGRADE FOR THE TIGER 1. I AM HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME FOLLOWING SOME OF THE INSTRUCTIONS.....HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME. HOW IS THE SUSPENSION BAR THAT HOLDS THE BUSHINGS ATTACHED TO THE SIDE PLATES ? ARE THE SUSPENSION BARS YOU HAVE DRILLED WITH HOLES THAT MATCH THOSE ON THE SIDE PLATES ??? MINE DO NOT AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE FLOOR PLATE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE SUSPENSION BARS CAN BE HELD IN PLACE.
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED !!

Hello Edward,
The suspensions bars have drilled/tapped holes in them at the bottom and side of it, basically the same as the old one you're taken off . All the holes matches those of the side plates and the floor plate. If you don't have any hole than it must be an error on the suspensions bar.
What production year is your Tiger ? Can you provide a picture of these bars ?
Get back to me .
I completed my upgrade and it just work fine.
