Hi Tom,
Thanks for the info. I have a local gunshop (after all, this IS South Carolina) that also can supply .38 special blanks. Before I settle on this solution, I've been in touch with a reloading firm that's promised to look into the idea of modifying one of their less expensive reloaders to make the short .12 gauge blanks needed. They've asked me to send them one of the six "test shells" that Cannon Mania sent me over a year ago when they were still acting like they wanted to market these. Depending on what this reloading firm tells me, I may opt for that or go back to the chamber sleeve idea to accommodate smaller rounds like the .38 special. This project looks like it's going to take a while, but I promise that if I come upon a solution that looks promising, I'll let the forum know. I encourage anybody else out there who's working on the same problem to contact me on the forum or at my e-mail so as to reduce duplicated efforts.
