Some small news from "Kölle alaaf"

Next week starts the "crazy time" in Cologne and I'm sure to be pretty busy with certain "beer quality checks" with my buddys at our local pubs

Over the weekend I could realize my "interpretation" of the spring-loaded spike holders on the folding arms.

Turned out quite nice thanks to a local shooting club, some used smal .22 cal shells and Steve's excellent castle-nuts 8) :D

The weldings and paint will foillow once the still missing tools and its holders are ready  Hope I can convince Steve to make me a Set of these excellent leveling tools

cheers for now,

Uwe

Just to say a quick "Hello, I'm still alive !"

My wifes Priority "Kitchen-KIT" turned out in a complete house conversion and took all of my rare time over the last month...

At the end we're all quite happy now and inbetween my travels there is now again some time left for my hobby :D :D

Last week I got after "endless time" my long desired tools to create some sheetmetal parts 8) , so the missing boxes on the cruciform are the next little projects :D

A long time ago now I received as well the excellent first upgrade sets from Tim and the brilliant tools from Steve. So for the next weekends there is for sure a plan to go ahead again with my Flak  :D

Greetings from the Cologne Area,

Uwe

I haven't heard that word for a long time
That was when toilets were holes in a plank.
Yes it does look like the latest model :)

I strongly hope to get something more out of it than just some 1/6th scale "brass-noodles"

We'll see, my wife has sometimes quite strange ideas on usage of machines

A "hit in the neck protector" would be useful

After a longer break and the recent arrival of my "mangle" and the bender I've been curious what I can do with it and had a start.., No Noodles, no Pasta    .

The last days I could realize to increase the gun travel and better end-positions on the gun carriage.
I made a new longer cover, enlarged the bore in the "Rückholer-Zylinder" by 40 mm,and replaced the piston with a longer one.

The top end position is perfect now and the lowest recoil point is much more to the real one now.

My brackets for the leveling tools are in good progress, and will be finished once its bolts and locking mechanism is finished. Just had a start on them with the rough contour..

My little E-Box Cover for the cruciform is ready except the hinges. Here I have to look for some suitable ones

@ Paul,

hope you're fine and you'll find the one and other minute for your FLAK ??

Cheers for now,

Uwe

Today I made some progress again on the cruciform :D

I could finish all the brackets for the Leveling Tools and fitted them to the folding arms.

I'm pretty happy with the result so far. Thanks again Steve, the tools are looking that good now on the folding arms 8)

Some paintwork and the weldings will come later then :D

The front bracket details where quite fiddle work, so it took me a bit longer

cheers for now,

Uwe

Hello Adrian,

Thx for the flowers :) Confirmed now not to be used for kitchen stuff

Yesterday I could finalize the work on my chest and E-Box Cover :D

I'm pretty happy with the results so today just a bit clean up and at least some etch primer.

The hinges and "locking pin" of the chest have been a challenge  So small , three times flown away , only when my "Mr.Frusti" met the wall, after a cold beer and some good music the fourth attempt turned out OK

Hope you like the result

cheers,

Uwe

Just a Hello from Cologne with some news. :D

I could realize some progress on my FLAK over the last days.

A lot of small bits and pieces but the major one was to get the base paint work done :D

Still just pre-assembled to the cruciform since there are the base-levelers still on the bench, but now it looks much better and I'm quite happy with the results so far.

I ran out of paint so there is some time left for the other small , looks like never ending, bits and pieces to be done

Hope its still of interest and you like it,

cheers,

Uwe
