Open orders with Mike Stannard

Post by Martin Diessel »

Hi members I am wondering why nobody is reporting of open, prepaid orders from Mike Stannard. I am very sure, that many of us prepaid Mike for ordered parts. I will not believe that all received completely their paid items or got any refund. I tried to get in touch wich Mikes son in law, Mr. Ray Almendarez. I got some replies and promises from him with , but since no more actions or furhter contact. He seems to be quite unreliable. Does somebody has any issues? Martin

Hello
I received almost all my pending orders 2 weeks ago from Mike's brother-in-law : I understand that he is living in California and goes at mike's place every 2 weeks.
The orders I did not get (and probably never will) are a flak trailer (Mike left a note saying he could not proceed with that specific order, a Tiger Bin set and the infra red visor device. Ray said that a credit note would be made.
Hope these infos will help.

Hello

Although I haven't got any orders from Mike. I am pretty sure that in the sad time for Mikes Family that the Business is not on their agenda. I would not PANIC and I am sure that a family member would be able to sort his afairs out with us Mortal customers. Hopefully start up again. His accessories will be missed by all that knew him.

Good news Steve, I am sure that a new owner would be happy to know that there are people out there who need to order spares to repair. If you don't have as Denny calls it a 'Carpet Tank' components get distressed in a more or less realistic manner and need replacing. So I am looking forward to the day when the heads up is given for new orders.
Please do continue to keep us posted.
Regards Steve

We have been informed that Field of Armor Tanks, LLC, has acquired “6th Scale Icons” assets. Loic Anthian, owner of Field of Armor (“FOA”) has purchased the assets of this company from the Executor of Michael Stannard’s will. Mike Stannard has served the 6th Scale Hobby Industry for 11 years with great passion and incredible artistry. FOA has the same passion in this industry, but recognizes that Mike’s talent can hardly be duplicated. In the immediate future, FOA will produce “6th Scale Icons” products directly from its molds and masters. All “6th Scale Icons” products will appear in FOA’s website, with photos and information about each of them [http://www.fieldofarmortanks.com – please note that the website is currently under re-construction with a better provider].

FOA is also committed to fulfill the remaining orders pending after Mike’s untimely passing. FOA has a list of these customers, and will contact each of them within seven days. Please contact loic@fieldofarmortanks.com if you have not received a notification within this timeline.

FOA ask everyone to please be patient during this transition period, and they will do their utmost to keep Mike Stannard’s legacy alive.

Thank you to Steve Hoeger for the information and keeping everyone informed at this time.

I received 3 of my 4 ordered parts so far with just the tiger 1 turret bin outstanding. Good to hear Mike's work will be continued.
