Great Dorset Steam Fair
After last year, which was dry, it would seem that weather was going to do its best to create the mud of Flanders, so it was hard work trudging through the ruts of mud. It was good to see two familiar figures working hard to entertain the visitors! I look forward to being able to run a Mark IV in something similar to give it the authentic and natural weathering

Re: Great Dorset Steam Fair
Yes the mud was certainly thick but we braved the situation for 5 days, I was very impressed with my Hyundai Santa Fe being able to pull the caravan and also tow Barry's Vauxhall Safera through one foot of mud. It was nice to have a visit from Mark & Gill on the Saturday. We had a lot of interest in the MKlV (kindly lent to us by Armortek) the total numbers passing through the model marquee for the show was approx 13000 (they had an electronic counter on the entrance). The World War One area was very well done, I have a load of photos on that area if anybody wants some. The MKlV certainly did a lot of running and performed well without any problems.

Re: Great Dorset Steam Fair
I am pleased that you survived the rest of the weekend! Fiona and I went down to Salisbury on Sunday and as we approached Salisbury we invented the Car Game of 'Spot the Steam Fair Refugee'. 98% of oncoming Caravans and Campers had a good plastering of mud!
