Hi
can anybody out there give an indication of how to locate the various 'fixing' brackets that come with Mike's tow rope and cleaning rod kits, each white metal bracket has two spigots on the bottom, there is however only one hole in the top of the tank where each of the old rope locaters that came with the kit fitted, so should one of the spigots be removed, if so which, or are the holes in the tank top in the wrong place anyway? This is a 2003 Tiger so not probably the latest spec, any indication would be most helpful, there were no instructions at all with the rope kit merely a photograph of the various brackets fitted.

Re: Fitting of Stannard Tow ropes
I would plug the old holes and make new ones in the correct place.

Hi William.
If you don't already have one get yourself a copy of "The modellers guide to the Tiger tank" you can pick them up on e bay or any of the multiple shows you are lucky to have down your end of the country you will find it an invaluable source of information. Alternatively there are numerous web sites that show you the locations try Dave Byrdens Tiger 1 info web site.
Cheers Paul.

Re: Fitting of Stannard Tow ropes
Thank you all for your help, bit of a minefield out there Dave Byrden's site is interesting, although it does lack a few dimensions, I will try to sort out my little problems with these references.

Re: Fitting of Stannard Tow ropes
Hi again William,
Please forget my reply above...silly me showed the track changing cable layout
What model is your Tiger1? ( early, mid or late?)
Please note the early ones had a different tow cable layout stored on the hull roof then the mid and late ones.
Here is a link that show the layout from Oct 1943 until the end.
This layout was made as the Feifel mounting plate and S-mine dischargers was deleted.

Hope this was of any help for you.
Kind regards
