Centurion train transport

Post by mick whittingham »

Hi all,

Now my Centurion is moving under its own power my thoughts shift to getting it moving under locomotive power!

The model railway club where I am a member would like to see the Centurion on a train transporter being dragged round their circuit as an attraction.

They can help me with building the basics of rolling stock but does anyone have any photo's of a suitable train transporter which may have been used with the centurion.

May be a case of using a road trailer design and making it fit rolling stock.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted,

Regards, Mick

Mick, if you can send me your email, I'll put you in contact with a contact of mine who has photos of the design sent to Australia when they were thinking of transporting Centurions by train. Regards. Stephen

Just posted a message on my thread showing the Cent up at our model railway, thanks fr the many pieces of advice and information. I will be looking into a train transporter for the Cent so it can trundle round our layout in style.

Regards, Mick
