Krankenhaus Mit Werkstattkompanie

Post by dennypatterson »

Thought that the following photos would be of intrest.
The 180 degree crane both cable and hydraulic is mainly used for lifting turrets or can lift complete machines (No bad backs), the over head electric hoist running on a girder trolly is for lifting complete machines onto the "operating table" which is on castors and has a hydraulic jack that lifts the O.T from floor level to weist height and can accomadate 2 panzers inline.
The machines on the O.T can have a scissors jack inserted beneath them to test run them in situ.
The 3 panzers on the workshop floor are awaiting servicing or repair.
As my collegues would say "repair" owing to the way i treat them!!! The panzers thats is!
That is independent armour.

Readers Garages and sheds! Thanks for the opportunity to see how you manage handling your Tanks, I like the crane which could really make life easier. My garage roof is not strong enough for a hoist on rail.
However it does seem empty, I have barely enough room for a Tiger let alone swing a cat! We have one or two bikes to pack things out, so any top tips on bike storage would be appreciated.

 steve, i have an RSJ from side to side overlapping the garage walls, 4 inch wide by 6 inch deep , mine is 17 feet wide and only weights about 100 kilos, and has a girder trolly on it from maichine mart £60 or so, better than a bad back. denny.

Denny - seven hammers and a mallet. That's what I call precision engineering. "Tools fine adjusting" in Army speak?

Great workshop. Hope we'll see you at Tiger Day.
