Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Hi all……
Just thought I would download a few pics on upgraded parts I have been adding to my T34/85 tank. The shovels are not finished yet I've still to add the handles!
If anyone else that has been busy on their own T34s it would be good to see some pics!…before this year is gone!
Cheers for now

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Hi All……
Thought I would share further progress on my T34/85 kit, while we all wait for the next stormy weather Bah….
This time I have turned my hand to making armoured louvres plates to sit above the electric motors at the rear end of the tank. These will not be fixed in place and held in by the rear lid which is kept closed by two handle levers on either side.
The parts that make up the armoured plated can all be lifted out so that I can get into that area to do any maintenance work on motors, and smoke unit etc.
These upgrades are based on web-site pics on the T34/85 and drawn by me to give me ideas on how I would like to make these parts, and eventually simplified as seen on this forum.
I'm just trying to keep the T34 Forum section alive and kicking…….so what's new with other T34 builders out there?
Cheers for now

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Ian,
Happy New Year. I just checked in on the T-34 Forum. I think you are doing a fine job keeping the T-34 forum going! Great looking details on your spades and other parts. Your close up shots definitely look like real T-34 right down to rough welds and textures. I love your sketches too - its really easy to see what you are making or modifying. Keep 'em coming, even if you are the only one posting here! Its enjoyed by many.
Best regards,
Bob

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Hi Bob,
And a Happy New Year to you too………
Thank you for your nice encouraging comments on me trying to keep the T34 Forum going!
I noticed over a period of time on the T34 section, that it's gone quite these days, and not to many other T34 builders have been attaching their own updated pics!…as I know there are plenty of other T34 builders out there?
As for the sketches I produce, I find that creating a few drawings on upgraded parts I would like to add, enhance my kits, helps me to understand what parts I would like to make and add, kind of working visual drawings.
So if you think that these sketches makes others like yourself on the Armortek Forums, really easy and clearer to understand, then I will surely continue alone with my pics ("Keep 'em coming") as you say!
My next upgrades will be on the T34/85 Fuel Tanks and supports.
Here's hoping your encouraging comments you sent to me, will inspire other T34 builders to add their own pics to the forum etc…soon!
Cheers for now

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Hi Folks,
Here I am back again with my latest upgrades on my T34-85 tank.
This time I had a go at creating three new cradle supports and straps for the fuel tanks.
Enjoy!
Cheers for now

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
And again Folks,
This time made three fuel tanks to fit into the cradles on either side of the upper hull of my T34/85 tank.
Just need to spray paint the tanks with red oxide and paint my green colour on top to blend in with the rest of my tank.
Enjoy!
Cheers

Re: UPGRADES ON T34-85 KIT
Ian,
I don't know which are cooler, your sketches or the actual fuel tanks. Great work on both. Save those sketches in a build scrap book - it will be a treasure years from now.
A silly question on the sketches. Do you take a photo of them in order to post them or scan them?
Bob
