Installing motion pack modules?

Post by Kevin Hunter »

Do any of the modules run particularly hot? I guess the power supplier and amp might be the worst but have no idea re the speed control or auxiliary module. I'm thinking about the install in my Cent: the PSU will go on the "bridge" plate provided but wondered if the others take kindly to stacking amidships?
Regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

If possible mount the speed control and amplifier modules on metal. These 2 are the ones that get the hottest particularly the amp module, we were at War & Peace for 3 days and running about in the present temp the amp gets very warm resulting in a reduction of volume but don't be alarmed the electronics is designed that way that if temp goes up too far volume is cut. The power supply and aux modules do not get as hot.

Dennis.
