War and Peace

Post by Steve Stuart »

I have finished down loading pictures from RAF Fairford, taken today in a mixture of Cloud and then sun. I went to War and Peace on Friday and this has to be my abiding feeling about the show, better than mud!

I hope that everyone who attended the event had a good time and that next year the show will be as good if not better!

Have to agree with Steve on the dust bowl score we were there for 3 days, car and caravan covered in it. The Comet climbed the Grandstand steps (below) without a problem. I took a video which will be published later. Also had many good comments about the Diamond T and trailer.

Had to keep taking my Comet up and down the Grandstand stairs too as it was so intriguing to watch the suspension working beautifully on the steps giving the hull a smooth and graceful ride!!!!

Not a brilliant video but it was taken with a minicam and no screen to view. Don't take any notice of the date on bottom rhs of video, I have not been able to find a way of getting in to the camera to change it. If anybody out there has experience with the mini cam can they let me know as I did not get a dvd/cd with it and all the instructions are in German as it was bought at Dortmund model show.
