Quick Quiz

Post by Paul Wills »

Hi All,

Just a quick quiz for a bit of fun. Anyone hazard a guess at the regiment of this cap badge and two reasons why this badge cannot be issued today?

Hi Paul

Your badge has the kings crown.
I think the v DG`S have also been amalgamated like most of the cavalry regiments and tankies.
All the best mate

Well done chaps, you have got all the right answers. Maarten has the correct regiment (good old Wikipedia). Steve, you are correct they are now part of the Royal Dragoon Guards, I didn't think anyone would get the crown was wrong. I should change the photo on my avatar as I am not old enough to have the pre 1953 Kings Crown. here's a picture of the post 1953 Queens crown VDG.
