Christmas Special: Late Tiger 1 and Tiger 2 Muzzle Brake

Post by Mike Stannard (toyrific) »

Hi Guys

Here is a Late Tiger 1 and Tiger 2 Muzzle Brake I have been working on for some time. My plan was to introduce it in the New Year. However I decided to offer it now as a Christmas Special with a holiday savings for all those interested as a thank you for your support.

I still have some work to do on it and get photo-etched parts made so it will not be finished until Feb 2013.

The retail price is going to be $150.00 for the kit. You can order and pay now for only $100.00 and I will invoice you when part is ready for shipping and fees.

Simply send me $100.00 by Check, MO or Paypal by Friday December, 21 and note payment for TT56K (Muzzle Brake). You may also add to this the Gent037-88-A Barrel Rifled Plug for 88 mm guns for $50.00, regular price $65.00.

This is designed to fit the Armortek Barrels, but can be modified to fit any barrel. It will have all the external detail and internal detail like the real one. To be able to cast all these details the muzzle brake has to be made in several parts as shown. Once assemble, join lines filled, cleaned and painted it will appear to be one solid piece.

WARNING: This part should not be used in conjunction with any blank firing attachment.

Pictures shown are of my casting masters that still have work to be done on them, which is explained below.

Muzzle Brake masters assembled and fitting to Armortek barrel.

How the muzzle brake is fitted. The barrel adaptor is screwed into the barrel and the assembled muzzle brake is fitted over the adaptor and secured by a set screw under the locking tab. The locking tab, bolt and bolt lock tab is then fitted over to set screw to hide it.

Details still to be made and added to masters.

Mike, I was irritated that I didn't buy one from whomever was selling them a while ago so I'm glad that you're offering one. I wish that it would show up in my stocking on Christmas morning! I just sent you a PP and I'm looking forward to getting it next year.
