Re: Late Tiger 1 Ausf.E/s.H.Pz Abteilung 504
I see the elevation motor now. I thought that was something to do with the recoil. Plenty of room then for the elevation box and loaders seat. Do you think there is space for the gunner seat. I am thinking of removing my elevation motors and fixing the elevation in place. I have also made a test tiger interior light and it works well so willl do the lights for each crew member. Lights will be 12 volt.

Hi John
Yes I dont think there will be any problem for the drivers seat.
Looking at the pictures and drawings the bridge angles back from
the right to the left looking forward and the seat will be under and
possibly to the side of the elevation motor.
Good news about the lights,I will have to get your updated price list
off you when all your new parts are ready.
Cheers
Phil

The gunners seat is just in front of the commanders feet. There is a footrest for the commander attached to the gunners seat bracket. I think it will be necessary to add a full turret basket/floor. This will be useful for placing the turret on the floor when off the hull.

Hi Tim
Thanks for the nice coments
I am part way through assembling the Turret FU5 radio from Panzerwerk,
Great detail but I am going to strugle with the decals supplied.
Can hardly see them under 8 x magnifier
Cheers
Phil

I will be interested in seeing your radio. I was going to try making them but might be lazy and get the Panzerwerk kits.

Re: Late Tiger 1 Ausf.E/s.H.Pz Abteilung 504
Hi John
I Took 4 pictues of how far I have got with the FU5 Radio set.
May take me a bit longer to do the Radio Panels.
Done the instrument Guage displays, the panel handles and a bit of painting.
I think I will leave the tidying up to do in one go at the end.
The plastic is a bit like carbon, and easy to sand and clean up,
The FU7 and FU8 I have mad room for at the Radio Opp 1 position,I had to do a cut out
in the tray that I had put across the front in the Hull.
So I will be able to see the Radios wth the hatch open.
If you need any sizes confirmed let me know

Radio Cases,Transformers and Intercomm

Hi Phil
Now you've gone and done it! You realize that now you will HAVE to do the gun interior as well along with the gunners seat and optics.
oh...and the traverse mechanisms.
maybe these will help

Your turret interior is looking really good!
kind regards
Tim

Re: Late Tiger 1 Ausf.E/s.H.Pz Abteilung 504
Thanks Christoffer
The Turret Roof sits nice at the moment under its own weight and I have already
filled the 2 front screw holes and I may be able to do the same with the 2 side ones.
That would leave just the rear one hidden in the post,so it will be a quick job to
lift off the roof to show the inside.
Might not need any magnets.
Glad you like it
Cheers
Phil

Re: Late Tiger 1 Ausf.E/s.H.Pz Abteilung 504
Phil, Radio equipment looks great. My roof is just resting on the brass support I fitted to the inside of the turret. Not screwed down. I have a blank firer but doubt I will use it. I will probably remove the elevation motor and make space for more interior detail.
Tim, I'm working on the Gunners seat,Loaders seat, Elevation box and Bridge. Have the drawings for the gun but not the equipment to build it at this time
I was thinking of adding a plexi glass roof if I can find a spare armortek late cupola.
Also working on the crew working light fittings so that the detail can be seen through the hatches.
