You should price the comet so high it dos'nt sell. Do you realy need a dining room? Pity to sell her after the time you spent on her. I mean the comet, not the wife. :D

Hi Mick,
Good Idea from John,worth a try :)
Like you say the threaded end of the pivots should screw into something.
A quick email or call to Mark is best,if another Jagdpanther builder doesnt come
to your rescue,to play safe.
Cheers
Phil

Hi Mick

Yes, you are correct, the holes should have been tapped, not sure how they got missed.
The size is M10.

Slow but steady progress. I am looking at a 'recoil' for my Jagd' on the same lines as Olaf. It's perishing cold here in mid Wales.....

Thanks for your replies Phil and Nick. I have started the recoil conversion......very slow progress, only using hand tools and a pillar drill.
Received my Steve Winstone Jack and Brackets today. Superb quality craftsmanship, very pleased.

Working in my freezing garage this morning......two hours steadily 'filing' the gun mount, ready to accept the barrel pivot and servo bracket (mild steel angle). Having to work slowly.....can't put back what is filed away.... :) The recoil I am developing, is based on the 'Olaf Claus' design.
Ordered two batteries yesterday afternoon from Hardware Express, as recommended by Armortek. Arrived this morning, by courier, fast delivery and a discount. Well Done.
My photographs are not very clear, sorry about that......Mick
