tiger 1 sprockets

Post by peterbarclay »

Hi guys Does anyone make longer tab washers ? The kit ones are too short to be bent up to lock the nuts like they are supposed to. Thank you

Hi Peter
Mike Stannard does a set and they are slightly longer and also you get
the one for the centre of the sprocket.
Also he supplies an extra set for your hidden wheels which are not so hidden if
you want them.
I did all mine so if anyone gets down on their knees they can see them
Cheers

Hi Thank you very much .I did mean to mention that the inner sprockets need them as well. I am not a perfectionist but details like that i always pick up on. I have not checked road wheels yet but i suppose the same. Regards peter

Hi Peter,
Yes I wasnt very clear I meant all the road wheels aswell,
they are in his pricelist as a set and as an extra set for doing the inner
wheels if you want.
Cheers

Hi Anyone with an engineering background looks at things like that so i have to be careful as i mix with them .They will bag details like that straightaway. Crazy heh, they would not pick up on other inaccurate items about the tiger 1 i am building.

Hi Peter,
FWIW EKP were doing "small head" m3 hex screws on their stand at Ally Pally. The standard M3 heads are a bit over scale, but replacing all of them may prove expensive (if you buy several hundred you may get a discount, so haggle with Tony!). Someone has also suggested punching out locking tabs from alu cooking trays, the metal is thick enough to hold a bend and a layer of paint. Cheap as chips, especially if the chips were in the tray!
Hope this helps.
cheers Fabrice
