Much better value Paul. Also, I think the darker grey will be a better base.

Hi John,

Just starting to build my Tiger now that I have finished the Diamond T and Trailer. I wanted to ask what paint and colour you used for the base coat. I will be spraying the etch primer on with a gun. When I sprayed the Panzer 111 I used Tamiya paints but they are in such small bottles I don't want to go down that route, I used Spectrum Enamel Paint for the Comet but I am not sure they do the right colour for the German variety. Any help would be appreciated.

Dennis.

I used tamiya xf60 pots through airbrush. Could'nt get the tamiya aerosols. They are too small also. Never again. Got some 400 ml cans close to actual Ral 7028 when painting Padge McGrath's king tiger and just highlighted with xf60.
Got a good supply to keep me going and keep the costs down.

I have started work on some parts to make the drivers viewport. All metal I hope with removeable block and also clear resin glass block.

This is the first part. Very heavy. Uses lots of metal but I want to keep the tank metal . Could have gone with resin.

A while back in this build I fitted a loader's seat but I was not happy with fit or function so having another try. I am working on a new version along with gunner's seat. Lots of components still to do but have a clearer idea now of how to proceed.
