Hi Marcel,
That sound like a brilliant idea but it would be a nightmare to get our tanks across to fortress Europe and back again.
Paul.

Another Operation Overlord invasion? To and back from Normandy beaches with 1/6 armour forces.....

We could meet at Newhaven and take a shelved van across with many tanks in it. That wouldnt break the bank. I like the idea

I think this is a cracking good idea, count me in!
It is the sort of thing that could grow in to a truely amazing ocassion with an international attendance like no other. It is a venue that could be relativley easily reached from all over Europe and perhaps further afield. For me this interest of ours is also an act of remembrance for the conflicts of our recent history, so what a better way to help mark the event.
On a completely seperate note it could inspire Mark and Gill to produce a Churchill, especially as it would be great for conversion in to number of funnies! Sorry, the Famo will be out for another couple of years.
All the best
Steve

Paul.
For the German Armor it would be a one way trip so that makes it easier on the way back. I guess if someone can get things organised in England it would be a great occasion to get a lot of scale armor together during a great event. I was fortunate enough to be there during the 60th anniversary and met a lot of veterans during that week.
Stay on tracks

Hi
I'm happy to organise a vehicle for the tanks, transportation and tickets across the pond, accommodation etc. but i need a show of hands.
Individuals would have to organise thier own transportation to eh ferry port. I think newhaven to dieppe would be best.

Hi guys
My Wife and I have booked a hotel in the village Bayeux and will be at the 70 year anniversary. I will not bring a tank, as we are flying in from Denmark. Would be great to meet though so if the event is arranged we will for sure be there
cheers
Steen
