Re: Steve,s Panther build
I have been busy with the paint on my Panther for the last month or so. Origionaly i was not going to post any more photos until everything was complete but after meeting up with some fellow builders at Tankfest on Saturday i have decided to show were i am up to.
The first to shots show the Panther i am modeling. Its 411 of Pz Regt I./24 in Normandy around June/July 1944
Gun barrel, muzzel break, side skirts and some tools still to do.
Hope you like
Regards
Steve

Re: Steve,s Panther build
Hi Paul,
Thanks,
My first Panther was a good model but this one is far more accurate and has much greater detail. As you know , I have a king Tiger waiting to be built so i will be selling the Panther in the very near future.
I would love to have kept all the Tanks i have built over the last few years but i do not have the space to store them and the finances to afford them all.
Regards
Steve

Hi Steve
Congratulations on the completion of your Panther. It looks fantastic! Details and finish are superb. I'm sure your Tiger II will be no different and I'm looking forward to following it's progress as well. Great inspiration for the rest of us.
Kindest regards
Tim

to build a kit from start to finish is no easy task, lots of what you don't see, and the added detail, a prize steve, very nice indeed!, regards simon.

Re: Steve,s Panther build
Steve,
That is one fantastic Panther. The details and work you put into it really paid off. I'm sure when you sell it you will have no problem finding a home for it. If I didn't already have one I'd take it! Great work, thanks for sharing your work with us. Best regards,
Bob

Re: Steve,s Panther build
Hi Steve,
I echo the others, what a fantastic build!
Very very well made and your choice of an early Ausf G from Normandy is "my kind of Panther"
Sad to hear you want keep her but the new owner will be a lucky one for sure.
One tiny thing I noticed...
Will you add the black outline on the turret numbers?
Pz Regt I./24 in Normandy had their numbers white outlined with black.
They also had the regiment logo (a jumping horse) painted at RHS front and RHS pack box, in fact one of very few units that bothered to paint their insignia on their Panthers in Normandy.
Please note the Fgst.Nr painted on the barrel support, 120509 is made by MAN in May 1944.
Kind regards
Kent

It´s all in the details!
