deck detail query

Post by Dave Hill »

i am trying to mount the track towing rope on the side of my mid tiger model.
the problem is that the brackets - CEO646 (rope clamp B ) just won't go over the eye of the shackle? am i missing the point here.
does this clamp like the others for the towing rope mount directly onto the hull side

also i am at a loss as to what pin should have been used to connect CKO648(eye clamp top) to CKO647 (eye clamp base) - this is the clamp to hold the eyes of the towing bracket on the hull deck

Hi Dave

Hope this will help, cannot answer your question on the pin as I am not familiar with the part numbers. All brackets are fitted directly to the hull side.

Early track tow rope brackets and set up.

Late track tow rope brackets and set up.

thank you for the response.
I have the rope positioned as appropriate for the version as indicated in the drawings you attached BUT the fittings that you have in your photos ARE nothing like those supplied from Armotek.

Basically the clamps supplied for the ends just don't work as i see it

If the fittings that you have used are from another source;i would be interested in having a gander and maybe upgrading.

Hi Dave

Sorry, I assumed you knew who I was, I am the owner of 6th Scale Icons and produce the parts in the pictures I posted. These are modeled on the real parts. You can down load my catalog and price list at the following link.

http://www.afceremonials.com/catalog-pages/

Catalog sections are in PDF format and named Tiger, Panther etc.

Regards
Mike
