Thanks Dale and Tim. I am not such an expert on these little details between mid and late Tigers. That is one thing less to think about. I am going to strip my turret down again and try for a closer fit around the Turret base. Have to sort out my Burst pipes around the house first thanks to freezing weather here.
Thanks Tim for pointing me in the direction of David Grays Gallery. It has answered a lot of my questiond and given me some ideas. I have contacted Steve Winstone regarding a number of his Tiger Items and will add some of these to my build. Not too sure which Hatches to go with. I like detail but at a good price.

Looking good Dale. I was working on my turret for the last few days. Started my welds also. I am wondering about the 8 recessed bolt holes on the turret top. How do you work out how to locate the positions. And what size are they? Are you revising the kit periscopes. I might try making my own. Did you decise on a solution to the track hanger problem?
Regards
John

Yay
I take it the summer rush is over
Have you thought of changing the steel mantlet pivots for a non ferrous solution ?
I'm wondering about M10 brass bolts, the a piece of brass bar as the lifting lug in place of the head. The 25mm spacer could be aluminium stock, clearance bored through for the bolt.
Just a thought
Adrian.

Hi Dale,
Does the original kit come with a turret bin - just wondering why the scratch built turret bin?

Looks great Dale. What did you make it from.
Geoff the kit comes with what makes up a very basic bin. Lacks detail. If you are building a tiger and want a detailed bin Steve Winstone does a brilliant upgrade to the kit parts. If you have the skill you could make one like Dale's

Hello Geoff and John I made up cardboard templates then used fibreglass sheets lots of work ! but worth it in the end I'm just wondering if some of the other tiger 1 builders on the forum added the lower turret bin holders I have not seen this detailed talked about on the forum much ? Dale
