Hi Guys
Finally figure out a way to make the barrel rifle plugs to my liking. The original method of rounding them and then soldering the join was not working well, could not get a good circular plug. With a lot of time, trail and error I have used a method of inserting them in brass tubing. This worked out well and I am happy with the results and they are at a standard I am willing to sell. Those of you that have had them on order for some time will ship on Monday. Those that have them included in larger orders, they are made and in your order bin to ship when order is complete.
Sample of some finished barrel plugs.
Showing join line on the 88 mm plug, this is unavoidable, but by placing the join at the top of the barrel it is not seen from normal viewing angle.
I have enough plug plates to make up 15 to 20 of each size.
Important note: These should not be used in conjunction with blank firing attachments.
Regards
Mike

Well done Mike! I like the rifle line within gun barrel as it makes the gun looks real---except for smooth-bore-gun off course.
How long is the 88mm rifled tube?
Thanks!

Hi Guys
Thanks for your kind comments, you should also compliment Stephen White as it was his work of painstakingly machined the rifling onto a flat plate that gave me the idea to photo-etch the parts. I had been trying to figure out for some time how to make these, it was so simple, but I never saw it.
The barrel plates start out a 1.7/8" (48 mm) long, but end up a little shorter once formed and the ends machined.
