does any one know whats the best thing to use to fill sand bags, so they can be moulded around the front of tanks ect please dont say sand .
thanks richie
why don't you want to use sand, if you use fine builders sand which doesn't contain salt, that's what i used on my Sherman, then there shouldn't be any issues with rust or decay over time and because its fine it will mould around objects.
Hi Chris and Robert
Thanks for your replies. Trying both now. I thought you had used something else like a modeling compound. To get the realistic effect.
Thanks again
Richie
Ritchie, the thing to use is SILVER SAND,which is easily obtainable from most hardware stores. This is extremely fine and completely bug free. Similar to what you would fine in an egg timer. I use it in all my sand bags. ROBIN.
HI RICHIE:
Here is another method, I use 120 grit sandblast GARNET, purple in color and no salts, nice composition for 1/6 sandbags, very cheep for a 50 lb bag. I don't think you will ever fill that many 1/6 sandbags with a 50 lb bag, but it's a great blasting media too. (use low pressure - it great!)
