Hello chaps
According to the books I have on the sturmtiger there was one here in the uk. I was wondering where it is now. Was it used for target practice?

Re: Sturmtiger
It's probably sat next to the DAK StuG III they had here at some stage

Not much of a challenge - I wouldn't have thought you could miss it

Re: Sturmtiger
Simon, I deny shooting at the MoD's Sturmtiger........
I believe one was brought back to UK after the war and was dissected at the School of Tank Technology. It hasn't survived except for the launcher, the Raketen Werfer 38 cm naval mortar RW61 L/5.4 which is on display as you say in Bovington.
As far as I know, there are two surviving Sturmtiger, one in Kubinka and one in Munster.
Regards
Stephen

Re: Sturmtiger
Hi Lee
I thought the following 2 dvd's might be of interest if you havent seen
them.
Both from the War File series.
Sturmartillerei and Sturmgeschutze & Panzerjaeger.
The first one has a picture on the cover of a Sturmtiger but not much of a
mention unless I fell asleep, which is highly likely,no mater what the subject.
The Sturmgeschutze & Panzerjaeger dvd has some good footage of the
Sturmtiger,although sadley only too breath.
But considering the dvd says only 19 was produced oit must be quite rare
and Mark is possibly about to ptoduce more than the Germans were able to
do.
Cheers
Phil

Re: Sturmtiger
Hi Lee
Found another one for you with Sturmtiger footage,it contains the footage
from the link to Youtube that Stephen put on the forum plus some extra
footage, and is a great dvd in its own right because its almost all Tiger
war footage.
"Tiger Heavy Tank Panzer V1"
In the "War" "The Archive Collection"
The 2 dvds I put on earlier have bits on You tube but you tend to get a
bit more on the dvds and better quallity.
Cheers
