drivers hatchs inside colour.

hello all,
can anyone tell me what colour the underside of the drivers hatches would have been, from what i can gather from pictures the inside of the tanks would have been off white, but i see from pictures in the gallery the underside of the hatches have been painted red oxide colour, which would have been correct

During the Dunkelgelbe (zimmerit) period - yellow
Later in war - Red oxide

hello Kent,

many thanks for the info, red oxide it will be, another question i have for you is do you have any pictures of the exhausts, the flat top type with the fan type arrangement, a picture looking down in to the exhaust is what aim after, any help would be appreciated.

Now thats a part for the after market people to get stuck into.
I tried and failed to fabricate these for my reworked panther exhausts.
I tried to make these fans out of brass sheet soldered together in brass tube
but maybe it could be done with etch brass for the blades part (which I don't have the way to do).

Hi,

If it can be done in the "tiny" 1:16 scale, as seen below, it can be done in our huge 1:6th scale as well!

But I am glad I donÂ´t have to bother here as I am building an Early Panther G

Please note the well done rolled armour steel surface - thatÂ´s how you guys without zimmerit Panthers shall look like

I would say Mid Ausf G, as they were introduced in October 1944 (no zimmerit).

Ok, thank you... I'm a little lost actually in all those versions... The mid type had the same differences as an early had? Or there's again typical specificities?
I actually modified my exhaust to look like that! It looks pretty good, and exactly with 28 winglets please...
As soon as i understand how i can post i will share my custom things...
