Phil,

Thank you for the pictures. Just what I needed. I was looking at some closeups on a site I found while at work and was reminded about the turret pistol ports again. Do you have a reference book with scale drawings of the 76 or 85? I've got some ideas for parts and no idea of dimensions.

Hi Brown.
No there are some line drawings in the 4 Osprey books that I have at the moment,but
there is no scale mentioned for these drawings.
I will let everyone know if I find one.

Hi John.
No its just showers and sun in worcestershire,I had to quickly put the Hull back
in the garage after taking the vlatest pic's when it rained again.

The books I have at the moment are 4 Osprey ones
T-34/76 Medium Tank 1941-45
T-34-85 Medium Tank 1944-1994
Panther vs T-34 Ukraine 1943
T-34/76 & T34/85 Osprey Modeling Manual ( lots of little detail bits in this one)

I have another book on order but no delivery date yet
T34 in action Armor no 20.

I'm keeping my eyes open for others.

Hi Phil,

Your T-34 is really moving along fast......much quicker than Panther builds it seems. Just a question.... I noticed some open seams in the rear plate around the drive units. Do you seal those from the inside for water protection? Have you thought through the same issue on the "christie" suspension?

I had a quick look,there is loads there like you say,even books on German captured Russian Tanks,I will go back later
for a good study,The Tanks I mean,not all the nice girls that keep apearing in between

Hi Bill
Yes there is quite a gap at the rear plate and gear box,but I will be filling as I go,I did the front before the Glaciss plate
went on.
I will be able to get at all the rest as I go.
Some of the photo's of the full size T34's show the gear box welded to the rear plate.
If I can get to go to the Duxford Museum again soon I will have to have a study of how the suspension was sealed.
With regards to the model I think I will be just coating the suspension parts with grease for some protection.
I will not be doing any wading or fording streams

Some jobs are taking longer,it took me several hours today to get the MG Ball to fit and move nicely in the MG housing.
Had to do some work to stop the colar locking the ball up.

Hello Phil

There seams to be some internal plates that are missing. Or havent you got around to fitting them. Is there any plates that go next to the suspension to seal it all up so you can wade in water. I will be extreamly disapointed if there isn't any. Water and electrics dont mix.

I dont think there is any problem for the Aquatic enthusiast.

The leading suspension is a different design to the other 4 pairs that have the "Banana Slots"in the hull side.
These 8 have Spring Housings which dont look a problem to seal and any other gap in the Hull is no problem to seal,so I
will be doing mine anyway even though I've got no stream to go padling in.

Which T34 are you doing?
I am starting on the suspension bits tomorrow,so I will post some pic's of the parts and then some more fitted.

Started on the Bump Stops.
Drilled out the MG for the MG Flash fitted to ball and drilled and tapped a 4mm hole in
the back of the ball to fit a bracket later,for the MG movement..
There was just enough metal in the Gun to allow drilling out for the Led to sit inside
