So whats next?..

Post by Alex Easten »

With Mark and Gill and the gang no doubt working hard to get all those Panzer IV's and Firefly's ready inbetween sending the T34's off to their new homes I was wondering, will it be soon that we know what the next model will be?

Congrats Mark and Gill on another trio of fantastic models! I'm sure the next release will get me on the band wagon again!

As customary around this time, what would forum members like to see?

Here's my list:

New realeases

Centurion mk1

M26 Pershing

Cromwell

Churchill AVRE

Elephant

Hetzer and Panzer 38t

Jagdtiger

Re-releases/mods

Mid/late Tiger 1

King tiger

Stug iii

I think its easy to see I'd like a new kit in 2011/2012 :P

Cheers,

Alex

I thought you were like me and gagging for another Sherman release :?: Did the Firefly not tempt you :?:

I'd quite like to see Mark attempt the Sherman M4A1 cast upper hull - that would really give those Haas machines something to think about

After that - A12 Matilda II or M3 Grant for me, then there's the possibility of an M3 Lee turret for our friends over the pond. Would need to machine the chevrons from the tracks though, or find someone who could Vulcanise scale links for us.

Probably wouldn't say no to a Centurion if one were to appear, with a Leopard 1 to help keep that pesky Iron Curtain covered. That's about as modern as my taste runs.

Adrian.

Hi John, yes another two releases are definitely possible now the machines are capable! But what would you like to see, as your two tanks you'd most like released?

Adrian, yes I was stoked for a Sherman, but as they say "The best laid plans of mice and men go oft awry".

Had most of my deposit saved up and even bought a couple more Terry Davies figures and then my laptop went bang, and unfortunately I can't write letters and essays on a Sherman!

I will be on the ball for the next couple of releases depending what they are, have you got any ideas for tank you're modelling your Firefly as yet?

Cheers,

Alex

I would like to see a mid-late model Tiger and maybe a PzKw III. How about a Stuart or one of those "cute" little japanese tanks...... a Matilda?

Hope nothing too tempting. Have my Panzer IV on order so that's my quota for present. I would love a King Tiger or what about an Sdkfz 251. Just an idea. Not yet please.

My suggestion, as if we have any influence, would be a Morris Quad, Limber and 25pdr.

Whilst one can never have too much armour, we can always use a wider range of options. Also I might get permission to drive something with tyres on the lawn!

However, a Centurion would be nice.
