T34 85 Saw

Post by Brown Hawkins »

Here's something most of the 85's need:

The scale version:

I'm assuming these are a little over 4 feet long from some 1/35 scale drawings I have.

The maybe real thing:

Note the spring keepers and the square tabs above the blade.

My drawing is not quite there yet; too shallow of a saw blade.

Now I just need to make an etching tank large enough for the piece! Maybe just use a pitcher or the like.

Thanks for that picture Brown.

I wanted to have a go at making that tool, after I saw one on the Duxford museum T34/85.

I've got some scrap galvanised sheet strips in various thicknes,0.7mm might be ok and the handles looked
like they could be shaped out of Dowl.

The teeth I was going to use a fine hacksaw and a small saw tooth sharpener file.
Cheers
Phil
