May 1943 Tiger for sale in USA

Post by Doug Pinkerton »

Pls see my Tiger in page 3 of gallery, if/when it comes up again. Moving to smaller quarters w/o storage room for the Tiger. Tank has been in storage and has some minor paint peeling, but is in perfect running order w/new main (26mh) & receiver batteries. No rust. Has full Armortek smoke, sound, firing, motion options (albeit earlier examples), plus many aftermarket details & options including hull mg motion. 8-channel system: right track, left track, main gun elevation, turret rotation, blank firing mechanism, smoke, hull mg up/down, hull mg motion right/left. Please PM with inquiries.

Hi Dough,

Echo Martin and Tim, long before I had my first Armortek kit and became a member here your Tiger was my main reason for me wanting an Armortek kit knowing the potential in them.
Finished long time ago it is still one of the finest 1:6th rc tanks I have ever seen and I hope it goes to a good home and you get the $ she is worth.

Kind regards
Kent

Thanks for your compliments

Coming from such a group of accomplished tank builders, these compliments are very flattering. I do consider this Tiger my "magnum opus" culminating over 40 years of model-building, and quite frankly I'm not likely to ever equal, let alone exceed this effort. I'm sort of hoping nobody wants to buy it, which may force my wife to relent and let me store it in the living room as a coffee table support......

Hi Doug,
I can only repeat what others have said. Your Tiger is a masterpiece and inspiration to all. I hope you can find a way to keep it. You will regret letting it go. Your wife may insist you clean the tracks before it comes in the living room! :D best of luck, Bob

Still for sale.... Pls IM or send inquiries directly to dpinkerton01@knology.net

Thanx to all for the kind words about my Tiger. Don't want to forget that Pete Fertl, Rich Stinchcomb, Vince Abbott, and Steve Winstone all contributed mightily to this result. I'm just an assembler.... OK, painter, too.

I like these BW photos, and since gallery is still down, thought I'd put them up...

Mike,
Thanks for the info. I had no idea I had gone so hog-wild. Seriously, whatever is on that list that is not on the tank is probably in my spare parts drawer and will be included with purchase of the tank. As well, I have the Armortek Feifel air cleaner set that came with the original kit, and a few other items I replaced with Mike's and others' aftermarket parts.
