idler KT
Hello Guys,
I saw now in the KT manual that you have to glue the two parts of the idler wheel together, but i am gonna drill some holes and use M3 or M4 bolts to keep the two parts together.( for replacing bearings maintenance)
Ps i made a mistake about the idler wheel of the tiger 1, it is in one piece and not two like i first said ( sorry )

Hello guys,
Yes 3 week holiday time, so i have a lot of time to work
on my 2 tanks.
This weekend i workt on the idler wheels. I made my own
modefication to put the 2 parts of the wheel together.
First i drill 4 holes for M3 thread and made a countersink hole for the bolts.

Next i made some welds on the turret & turret roof.

Put the 2 armor segments on the hull and place the 4 bumpstops.

Tomorrow i am gonna work on the welds for the hull and more welds on the turret.

this week i workt on the hull welding, first cut out some line to
hold the milliput in.

After this i workt on the drive case, there are on both sides two holes to drill in the hull and tap M3 thread.

So now all the 15 bolts on both sides are in place.

that's a lot of sanding with mr dremel.
i'am almost ready to put primer on the wheels.

Than put the wheeltabs on 18 wheels.

Put some TS-3 dark yellow on the sprockets

Tomorrow i sand the last six wheels and put the primer on,
and fix the bearings in the hubs.

Hello John,
Unfortunately the KT will not be ready for the openday,
because i still must work on my tiger 1 electric stuff,
i think thats something for next week ( last week of the holiday time) but the KT takes a lot of my time now and i cant stop working on it, ha ha ha. I also need to buy all the electronics for my KT, thats something to do on the next openday,
maybe i see you there.

Made some weldings on the front of the hull,
feeling a little like a dentist here.

Did some work detail on the back, a little modifaction on the coverplate ( not finished yet ) i drill the two tensioner plates for
easy track adjustment.
