Welcome

Post by Armortek »

Welcome to our new web site and the all new forum.

The old forum is still accessible to view only.

We have upgraded to this new and much more sophisticated forum which many of you may well be familiar with from other sites.

It will be necessary to register for this forum, however this is a very straight forward process and we will endeavour to approve your registration as quickly as possible.

You will see that the new gallery is also much improved. Apart from lots of great new features you can now upload a picture direct from your PC without the need to use third party hosting. Registration is required as above.

We have done everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible however it is inevitable with something new that there maybe a few teething troubles and we ask for your patience while we get everything running smoothly.

Just a quick check to see how the posting works.

You say we can view the old forum but I can't see how at present - manybe this will become obvious as the new site develops. It is important to have access to the old forum as there is a lot of reference material.

Again I can view the old gallery but not the newone at present - am I missing something?

thanks
Allan Richards

Hi Allan

The old forum can be reached from the Forum button on the home page, under which you click on 'archive', same thing for the gallery.

Excellent. A huge change for the better, well done Mark Gill and Mark. Editable posts at last! Will there be different forums (sections) for different models?

Superb, just need to get the profile picture on-line. I have an Avatar of 80x80 GIF image, size 3.60 KB, but it comes-up as a red cross? It was the same one I had on the old site, but it does not upload.

Hi Derek

If you go to your profile you can set the time according to where in the world you live. It is set at GMT as standard and you can adjust accordingly. Here in the UK we are currently GMT + 1 hour, obvioulsy our customers around the world will be able to set their clocks to their local time.

Hope this helps.
