Hi Thomas,
I think you misunderstood me here.
I am looking for genuine WW2 photos, drawings and models are of little interest due to "artistic licence" and IMHO never can de stated as fact.
Nothing wrong with that as long as one don’t stat it as fact, there are a lot of outstanding models out there with buckets of artistic license.
But I am one of them purists keen in having them as close to the real thing as possible and finds it very exciting finding out how they really looked.
But then again I am a strange one...
Kind regards
Kent

Hi Thomas,
I presume this is the colour image you're working from.

You would imagine the artist had something to go on.
Great looking Panther, well done.
Thanks Antony

Although I thoroughly respect and enjoy my friend Kent's strict adherence to what we know for sure based on war time photos(and do so myself as much as possible), I know those photos only represent a fraction of what was on the battlefields from 1939-1945. If we only went off of those photos we see, we'd all be building the same models.
How boring would that be?
Artistic license is what makes your model, YOUR model and not mine or someone else's. That's what's so great about 1:6 tanks, the variety of paint schemes and finishes.
A very nice looking, late Panther Thomas.
Kind regards
Tim

Hi everyone.
I have to agree you pay for your own model and you have it how you want, historically correct or sky blue pink the choice is your's.
The facts remain the same Thomas's tank is a very fine example well built and very well painted... I do not know wether or not it is correct as far as historical accuracy is concerned but ... if the owner is happy? that should be enough..in my opinion.
Congratulations again Thomas you have done yourself proud.
Cheers Paul![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Totally agree on that Tim, and with you Paul. Allthough I'm looking for as much as authenticithy as possible, everyone must be free in what he wants and does, each with his own capabilities.Tim Bowman wrote:Thomas and Kent
