MG-34 Ball Mount for Panther

Post by Dave Dibb (Armorpax) »

Hi All,

I received a small package today containing a superb piece of work in the shape of Kent's fantastic ball mount.

We are going to make a small run of these in resin initially to get a master production set (I can then return Kent's precious original) and for those that are happy to have them in this material. If there is enough commitment we would consider a metal cast version but in order to take this route it will have to be financially viable for us as this is a hefty casting.

And no I don't have a price yet as I only opened the box 15 minutes ago

Best regards

Dave

Outstanding! That Ball mount is a work of art.

How about those intake grills and drive sprockets too Kent? Come on you're holding back

Glad to be of any use Dave.

Good to know that others will have the opportunity to get an accurate MG ball mount - will, and has always help any vendor willing to take this hobby further.

Tim - guess the sprockets can’t be cast in resin or white metal and still be of any use here...
But with some small changes in the CNC program before hitting the start button the ones within the kit can easily look better.
Sorry but the intake grills now have their mesh added for life and therefore can`t be used making a mould of - sorry

William - Yes that type of MG ball mount was used on Jagdpanthers and I am certain the glacis-hole in the Jagdpanther kit is the same as in the Panther kit.

Cheers
Kent
