Hi Guys
At last the weather here is hot enough to cast the water clear resin prisms. I have made the type 2 prisms for the Panther , Tiger 1 and 2 cupolas and the late loaders periscope for the Tigers. I am offering these in several sets to cover all purchase options with discounts on the more you require. Each full periscope requires two units. These are not working prisms and only for detail.
PP04-01 Tiger 1, 2 Prisms Type 2. 1 Unit (For TT38A and TT38AK) $15.00
PP04-02 Tiger 1, 2 Prisms Type 2. 2 Units (For TT38 and TT38K) $28.00
PP04-07 Tiger 1, 2 and Panther Prisms Type 2. 7 Units (For TT37K4 or 6, Pan24K1,2 & 3) $95.00
PP04-08 Tiger 1, 2 and Panther Prisms Type 2. 8 Units (For TT37K4 or 6 & TT38A or AK) $108.00
PP04-14 Tiger 1, 2 and Panther Prisms Type 2. 14 Units (For TT37A,K,KI & Pan24A,K,K1) $180.00
PP04-16 Tiger 1, 2 Prisms Type 2. 16 Units (For TT37A,K,KI & TT38A or AK) $200.00
Please note that the pictures do not show well the glass surface on the viewing area, I tried several ways to take the photographs but it would not show. Be assured the viewing areas are like glass.

Brief description of how prisms were made.
Using a piece of 1/2" thick acrylic I machined the shape of the prisms at a angle leaving the viewing area with the glass finish of the acrylic. I made three lengths, enough for 14 masters.
These were then cut to size and cleaned for molding. Molds were made and parts cast.
Each casting is then cut to the correct length to fit inside the prism housings.
For those of you that already have the periscopes and may have already glued them together you may have a problem separating the two parts to fit the prisms. If you have followed my recommendations and only spot glued the housings together with super-glue they should just snap apart. If you damage any of the housings opening them I will replace them free of charge. Just mail the damaged ones back to me.
I recommend you open your housings before I ship the prisms to you so I can include replacement housings with the prisms. This will save you on postage.
At the moment I can only cast 14 prism units a day as the resin take 16 to 24 hours to cure. If there is a large demand for these I will make more molds so I can produce more a day. Please expect to wait a few weeks for delivery.
For those of you waiting for delivery of the type 1 prisms, I have over 150 to cast and these will be done at the same time as to type 2 prisms, so I should start shipping these soon.
Regards
Mike
Water Clear Resin Prisms Type 2 Updated 5/16/11
Hi Guys
As I was not happy with the pictures of the prisms showing the glass finish I experimented until I got something that shows it. Also since the post I have had several enquires as to what periscopes and prisms go were. I have made up some pages that will be eventually publish in my on line catalog, but that will take a few days so I am posting them here. Hopefully this will explain what you need to know and reduce the questions I have to answer.
