Queensland Floods

Post by Adrian Harris »

I don't know if we have any forum members in Queensland but, in case we do, here's hoping that they and their friends and families are safe, well and dry.

The images of the floods are quite breathtaking. Floods are grim enough but when the water is wriggling with snakes and crocs...

And now a hurricane too. Poor buggers (sorry Gill). Given the fuss about the snow in December either of these *real* disasters would put the UK back into the Dark Ages for a decade.

Our thoughts are with you "down under".

Hi Guys

Thank you one and all for your concerns and sentiments. Brian, no apology necessary, in fact your comment is so correct. What have we done we ask ourselves? The only thing you might have overlooked that dwarfs all of what has happened, damage aside, was the 9 years of drought that preceeded the flooding and tornado. That is a cost that no one will be able to contemplate. It has not hit everyone yet and I dont think they want it to.

Thank you all again

Kindest regards
Rick Jensen

Hi Andy

Great news to hear your OK. Just missed the main part by 60kls, that's luck for you. We saw the smashed trees so I can see why you would be hanging off two chainsaws for the past week. Its no fun I must say. Also good that your Tiger survived as well, they don't float real well these Armortek tanks.

Best regards

Rick Jensen
