Hi Matt,
I just got a Late Tiger kit myself. Just started on the turret last night. Decided to start with the turret as I can work in the house. Will start to post on my build soon. Nice to see another going into production.
Are you planning on lowering the rear deck or building as is?
Sorry for the late reply,I havent had time to get online.
I am going to build it as is.I am not a machinist and have no
tools of that trade to work with.I am hopeing to get back to it when it warms up.I have to many rc toys and not enough time for them all.
Hoping to get back to my build next week. Lots of nice parts from Steve Winston and David Dibb will be waiting for me. I will be happy if my hull goes together as well as yours. I am still not decided on lowering the hull myself as like you I do not have the equipment. In the post on lowering the deck Steve Norris appears to have an answer for those with basic tools. I will have a look at basic build and then decide. If I had'nt read about the rear deck problem on this forum I would not have noticed anyway.
You should not have any trouble with your hull,I had to file a littel
on the rear plate but that was all.Mine wiil be more of a toy than
a true scale model.I am not a model maker just the avarge guy
who loves RC.I will try to paint it with the right pattern's,I hope my turret goes together as well as yours did.
I had quite a bit of filing on the front plate joints. I am happy enough with it now. The cap bolts securing the wrap to the base need some care. It is easy to strip the thread in the base. I stripped one thread slightly but got it sorted with a longer cap bolt. Took about 5 attempts to get it wright. I'm just an ordinary modellor also. No engineering skills. I'm quite new to RC and worked on just two 1/16 projects to get an idea of the basic electronics. Lots of help on this forum.
