New Late Tiger 1

Post by John Fitzsimons »

Hi everybody,
Just got a late Tiger 1 with motion, sound, smoke and blank firer.

I will not start until February due to holidays. I will probably start with some of the smaller items as I do not want to work in the shed at this time of year.

Here is my work area.

Hi John

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of big tanks.

I love your work room! Did you paint those grenadiers riding on that Tiger? Amazing work and I can't wait to see what you will do with a 1:6th Tiger.

Best regards
Tim

Thanks Tim,

Yes I painted the Grenadiers. 1/16 scale. Have painted some more since in winter camo.
I was so impressed with your Tiger build I have printed the whole thing out as a reference. I hope to incorporate some into my Tiger. Would you mind if I send you questions occasionally? I was thinking of starting with the turret first or possibly assembling wheels. Only problem is you have not started your turret yet and I'm afraid I will miss something. As for lowering the rear deck I think I may try the conversion that Steve Norris came up with as I do not have milling equipment or the expertise for the other deck fixes. I am away skiing in France until February so cannot start till then.
