installing pins into drive shafts + wheel shatfs

Post by Sean Noonan »

hi all
the 12 pins which go into the drive + wheel shafts do we use red or blue loctite for these ??
im thinking blue as these may need to be replaced at some point, but red would be more secure.
cheers sean

Hi Sean,

Start by checking that the shafts are straight by rolling them over a flat surface. Pay special attention that the ball-shape ends are not off-centre (wobble).
Then carefully glue the pins in place using the red (permanent) type of Loctite.
It is very unlikely that you will ever need to replace them.
Cheers,
