Tiger (Late) Build Questions from down under

G'day
I have finished section / pack 1 and the distance between Pannier Side plate CEO159 and Rear plate CEO158 is .95mm refer to picture (the other side is .90mm ). Is this gap acceptable? When the Deck CEO161 is put on it pulls in the top part of the side plate. Is this acceptable? If so great I can move on if not where do you believe I would have to look to tighten the gap?

you should no gaps at all,all the plates should butt together if they dont you will have slight movement all around the body the best thing todo is re tap all the holes 2 or even 3mm deeper this way you'll have a tight fit :wink

sometimes you might find the hole is not deep enough and if you dont do this you could sheer the head off a screw or bolt then your in big trouble

just as an after thought i have the mid prod tiger and this was the case not sure if its the same for the late model

The late prod tiger that you have is held together using the brackets, so the advise from Colin is not strictly appropriate. What he says is correct for the early and mid prod versions. In your case, the plates should be flush as Colin says. To correct this loosen the fasteners and push together before retightening. You may have to open up the holes in the brackets a little if it wont move far enough. Use a needle file or the next size drill up to do this.

Hello Tim. It's a good idea to use clamps to hold the plates tight against each other . Then you can see if some of the bracket holes are a little out. Also the pannier floors are lazer cut at right angles some times the front and rear edges need filing to match the angle of the glasic and rear plate .. Make shore that the hull plates are level at the tops as well .You must dry fit every part and triple check before you file or re drill holes .Remember to test fit the deck to keep the hull square . Thanks Gentleman for the replies.
I shall re check my filling of the highs from the bending on the Pannier floors and check how flush my CEO150 / 151 Hull side sit against the rear plate (have done some filling their).
Then I will do the brackets.
On the second photo (side view) is the Glacis plate in relation to the pannier side right or does it have to sit flush with the side also?
