Hi All,

Finally nearing the end of the Comet parts, below are the Loaders Hatch Handle and Retainer Catch, Transmission Oil Fillers, Infantry Phone Cable with Connectors and the Front Hatch Handles and Retainer Catches.

Just the Birdcage Gunsight to do and that will complete this run of parts.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

Birdcage gunsight done. This is the last of the parts that will be included with the Armortek kit. I may make more detail parts once some of the other projects are done and if so these would be released as normal Armorpax items.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

I have run most of the Comet parts in resin, prior to sending the masters off to have production moulds made for the metal parts.

Some of the multiple parts like the connector cables will have to wait for the production run but at least the prototype will now have most of its detail parts.

The pic below gives you a good idea of how much will be included with the kit. Not shown but also included are the various grab handles and connector cables mentioned above.

Best regards,

Dave

Comet parts

They all look superb but especially the bird cage fixed sight. Seems a long time to delivery but I'm amazed at how quickly you, Mark and Gill have got the prototype together. Mark mentioned that the kit may also offer the Normandy cowls so that the wartime Mark 1A can be modelled, as an alternative to the fishtail exhausts.

Best regards

Stephen

Hi All,

The metal production masters for all the Comet parts have been made from my original parts. These are now cleaned and going straight back to my casters to have the full production moulds made in order to get the full order of parts to Armortek by the end of the month.

Cheers

Dave

Hi All,

I have finally been able to fully assemble a set of Comet detail parts now that all the packs are with Armortek. I will be bringing these down and putting them on show at the open day next Saturday.

The good news is they all fit together

The cables for the side lights etc are cast straight but are in pewter so as long as you are carefull and bend it slowly you can form it.

By just using a small amount of glue on the inside of the pins on the smoke discharger boxes they open and close easily.

Best regards

Dave
