That's interesting info - thanks Lawrence.

Today I got a few more things done on the turret including making the two grab handles, the rain gutter around the disposal hatch and the knob thing (technical term ;) ) on the disposal hatch..

Yes nice job on the Pz III Turret and side doors David,

In your pic of the pz turret doors I can just see a part of the pistol port, did you make these yourself! I've not seen any of these on the market, do you know who makes them?.....or are they easy to make for one's self!

Cheers

Hi David,

I've just looked up Armorpax web-site and see the PzIII Pistol Ports you mentioned (AP134-GR) I have theses already from Dave.

Sorry what I really was after was a pair of pistol ports that are on the rear half of the turret side hatch doors. I can see one half of one on the bottom right hand corner on your pic.

Cheers
Ian

Does anyone have any pictures of the inside of the commanders hatch that they would not mind sharing, I am trying to get an idea of the colors and patina.

Thanks

David

There are more picture on my website.

Just need to make the Zielstachel (target pointer) for the turret roof then on to the storage bin.

Hi David,

I've just enjoyed following your progress on the Panzer III Ausf L on your excellent web-site Scale Replicas.

In your last few pics on progress on the Pz III Cupola and hatches. Will you have working visors that open and shut on the commander's cupola!

Bye the way I got in touch with Clive Lockwood and asked him if he had any spare Pz III Turret Pistol port covers for the turret side doors. To which he said I was in luck as he had some spare ones around. So I've ordered up a pair for my own Pz III.

So once again thanks for giving me his name.

Cheers

Hi Ian,

Thanks!

No they don't work. I decided that unless I was going to detail the inside of the capola as well there was not much point in just having them slide open and close (and possibly get fall out and get lost). I did modify one of the visor covers to show it closed for some variety.

They really all need to be re-profiled to match the capola profile, but I only did that on the one that is closed as that is when the profile mis-match is most noticeable.

Glad Clive had a spare one for you. I have a bunch of his parts and they are all first class!.

Regards

David
