New DVD from The Tank Museum

Post by Adrian Harris »

I'm about half way though this and it's been very good so far:

Image

Lots of good shots of the parts of the Tiger you don't normally get to see.

Available to order (£17.99 inc P&P in the UK) at:

http://www.tankmuseum.org/shop/item.php?item_id=7999

Hi Chaps
Forget the Computa use the Hooter!
I got my copy on Tuesday morning having telephoned the Tank Museum on Friday, when a very helpful person processed the order as we spoke. So do try them directly as it may be simpler.

Hi Guys,

My DVD has arrived and I've had a look through it. It seems very good, with a bit of history and techy bits. There is quite a bit of material which I haven't seen before, especially some of the German interviews. One of the extra bits shows a Stug being hand started via the inertia starter, nice to see.

I just finished watching the DVD as well. Nick da Costa of Wide Angle sent me a courtesy copy. I thought the animations were incredible. But what really fascinated me were the interviews with the German Tiger crewmen.

Man I would love to see all of those interviews in their entirety. The interview with Joe Eakins was also riveting. And the Bovington employee showing how to start the Tiger and how to change gears. The whole thing was just really outstanding.

Out of all the Tiger videos and DVD's I've seen, I thought this one was by far the best.

Last time I ordered a DVD from the tank museum, it wouldn't play on my US model BlueRay Sony player. Is this one going to be any different?

Probably unless your Blue Ray player is multi region.

I just play them on my computer's DVD with no problem.

I have ordered, and then received it last week.
It's very good in contents and quality. :D
For Tiger (or simply just any) tank fans, it's worth to own it.
Regards,
Lerh Chang
