SOME RARE BRITISH TANK WAR FILMS

Post by neil pudney »

I thought fellow tank enthusiasts may well find these rare british made war films of interest.
I run a rare film web site and amongst the many films i stock there are some very rare british made war films.
One is 'Tank Force' (1958) known is the USA as 'No time to Die' with Leo Genn and Victor Mature another is 'The Intruder' (1953) with Jack Hawkins, Michael Medwin, George Cole, both of which feature some superb footage of british tanks. Made just after WW2 there are many british tanks in the films, Cromwells especially. The opening sequence of The Intruder shows Jack Hawkins visting a Tank graveyard somewhere in England after the end of the war full of shermans being scrapped !!
Both film DVD discs come fully cased with high quality cover artwork and are not available elsewhere. The case artwork produced is to commercial standards.
I also have both tank episodes from the tv series salvage squad one on the centurion tank and one on the M10 Tank destroyer, if interested in any of these films please contact me.

thanks david, tank force is a very rare film,as is the intruder. Picture quality is not as good as the intruder but as with many of these films that seem to have been 'lost' we have to go with what we can get. Thanks for your web links, i will be looking forward to how others get on with their comet builds.
best wishes,neil
